LIGHT RAIN AND MIST, a QUIET ZOO, ENJOYing NATURE
I was actually able to spend Thanksgiving at the Santa Barbara Zoo. The Santa Barbara Zoo may not be the biggest, but it's a great place for families to enjoy their holidays together. There, we saw a great variety of birds as well as several endangered species. There were tortoises; families of giraffes, snakes and insects; and some previously unseen species. Unfortunately, the family of elephants was absent, leaving an oversized, empty home. I was also pulled in by my friends to look at poisonous spiders, insects, and especially large Indian pythons. I was always afraid of these things, but my friends were interested in spiders that reflected light at night. I like flamingos and monkeys best. They’re very elegant and seem to go about life with joy.
